CheeseTracker
CheeseTracker is intended to be an Impulse Tracker clone. Yet, even when some features are missing, It should be perfectly usable. It's story is rather short. I was tired of having to boot into windows/dos every time I wanted to track, and having to deal with crashes while composing isnt nice either. So I decided to do what many people gave up on. To adapt Libmikmod to a tracker interface. At first I thought it was going to be easy, but it wasnt. Most of the code simply wasnt appropiate for a tracker, so I had to rewrite very large portions. Many other portions were rewritten because i just didnt like the code, and finally, everything was converted to C++ (I dont care if you dont like it). It took me around two months overall to program this (since i wasnt able to dedicate that much time to development) and it's finally usable. It probably has some bugs, so bug reports are more than welcome.

OctaMED Soundstudio
The famous Amigatracker ( called 'Octa'MED ), now available for Windows. Use your old tracker skills or learn a new and fascinating way to composing. The PC Windows 95/98/2000 version of MED Soundstudio can be considered as a Stereo Tracker/Sequencer, with a range of real-time effects and sound sample editing facilities. It gives PC owners the chance to produce tracks of their own. It does not require any additional hardware, although it can be used to control midi equipment if required. Psycle
Psycle is a 32 bit windows application. What it does? well, is a music creation tool. Features proffessional soundquality and amazing fx with only a single PC with a good CPU. If you're used to 'trackers' you'll find psycle a bit similar to them, but you'll need some 'training' since it's a bit different. If you're a 'Buzz' user you can find some stuff equals to it and other different. Buzz and psycle are both "Modullar" trackers [or 4th generation trackers]. Well, let's see, it depends, the powerful CPU, the more effects and samplers can u put on your song at once, a Pentium 2 300mhz can run it with not too problems. Memory, 64mbs RAM, OS: windows 95/98/2000/NT, and a soundcard of course with windows MME drivers (multimedia drivers, most soundcards include them by default on installation).
   SoundTracker
SoundTracker is a music tracking tool for Unix / X11 similar in design to the DOS program FastTracker and the Amiga legend ProTracker. The name of the program is a tribute to Karsten Obarski, who released his SoundTracker program for the Amiga in 1987 and thus unknowingly founded the basis of a huge free music movement which developed in the following years and which is still going strong.

Velvet Studio

zTracker
zTracker is a win32 only MIDI tracker. It is modeleded exactly after Impulse Tracker. It does everything you would expect a tarcker to do and more. It is 100% free. It is being built with MSVC6 and Windows 2000. Features (Current and planned): Full pattern editing / Order list w/ effects like retrig, CC send/record (midi in), fine note delay, and more.. 32 (or 64 or 128..) tracks, each can play any instrument (which are assigned to midi out deivce, channel, patch, etc). Pattern play mode (with nice interface) a la rebirth with realtime track muting. Load/Save .zt and .MID export (import is not planned). Global shuffle.
